Polyester film capacitor manufacturers believe that after the capacitor is damaged, it is generally necessary to replace it with a new capacitor of the same specification. If no suitable components can be used, the substitution method can be used. The principle of substitution is as follows:
① When the capacity and withstand voltage are the same and the volume is not limited, the ceramic capacitor and the paper capacitor can replace each other.
② When the price is the same and the volume is not limited, the mica capacitor with the same voltage and capacity can replace the metallized paper capacitor.
③ When the working frequency and insulation resistance are not required, the metallized paper capacitor with the same withstand voltage and capacity can replace the mica capacitor.
④ If there is no restriction, the capacitor with the same capacity withstand voltage can replace the capacitor with low withstand voltage, and the capacitor with small error can replace the capacitor with large error.
⑤ Without considering the influence of frequency, Metallized paper capacitor with the same capacity and withstand voltage can replace glass glaze capacitor.
⑥ When the requirement of moisture resistance is not high, the sealed capacitor with the same capacity and withstand voltage can replace the sealed capacitor.
⑦ Two or more large capacitors with different capacity and different withstand voltage in series can replace the small capacitor; the voltage drop on each capacitor should be within the allowable range of withstand voltage after series connection.
⑧ Two or more small capacity capacitors with different withstand voltage and different capacity in parallel can replace the large capacitor, and the withstand voltage after parallel connection shall be subject to the withstand voltage value of the smaller voltage withstand capacitor.
Attention: the performance of the capacitor is closely related to the environmental conditions, so attention should be paid to it in use. For capacitors used in the environment with high humidity, sealed type should be selected to improve the anti humidity performance of the equipment; in the environment with high working temperature, the capacitor is easy to be aged; in the cold area, the electrolytic capacitor must be selected with cold resistance.
