Matters needing attention in installation of polyester film capacitor

Attention should be paid to the installation of polyester film capacitor

1. When installing the capacitor, the wiring of each capacitor should be connected with the bus bar with a separate flexible wire, instead of the hard bus connection, so as to prevent the assembly stress from causing damage to the capacitor bushing and oil leakage caused by sealing damage.

2. Any bad contact in the capacitor circuit may cause high frequency oscillation arc, which will increase the working electric field strength and heat of the capacitor and cause early damage. Therefore, it is necessary to keep good contact between electrical circuit and grounding part during installation.

3. When a capacitor with a lower voltage level operates in a network with a higher voltage level after being connected in series, measures such as installing insulators equivalent to the operating voltage level should be adopted to make the capacitors reliably insulated.

4. After star connection, the capacitor is used for high rated voltage. When the neutral point is not grounded, the shell of capacitor should be insulated to ground.

5. Before the capacitor is installed, the primary capacitance should be distributed to make the phase to phase balance and the deviation should not exceed the total capacity. When the relay protection device is installed, the balance current error during operation shall not exceed the relay protection action current.

6. The wiring of individual compensation capacitor shall be as follows: for induction motor directly started or started by rheostat, the capacitance for improving power factor can be directly connected with the outlet terminal of motor, and no switch equipment or fuse shall be installed between them; for induction motor started by star delta starter, three single-phase capacitors shall be used, and each capacitor shall be straight The connection is connected in parallel on two terminals of each phase winding, so that the connection of capacitor is always consistent with that of winding.

7. For the group compensation low-voltage capacitor, it should be connected to the outside of the power switch of the low-voltage group bus to prevent the self excitation phenomenon when the group bus switch is disconnected.

8. The low-voltage capacitor bank with centralized compensation shall be equipped with special switch and installed outside the main switch of the line, not on the low-voltage bus.
